thumbprint portraits
Create a very personalized portrait using the patterns of your own thumbprint and texts that have special meaning for you (favorite books, poetry, song lyrics, movies, quotes, blog posts, wedding vows, etc. etc. A great gift for artlovers, booklovers, parents, poets, authors, songwriters, bloggers world travelers and others.
In creating the piece, your thumbprint is enlarged to approximately 22” x 33” in size and used as the pattern for laying down the text selected for your piece with acid-free clear tape onto vellum and then matted and framed in a 27” x 40” frame.
The portraits sell for $1,200 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to one of the following organizations working towards the eradication of 21st-century slavery and the helping of survivors of sexual slavery. The remainder will be utilized to fund a new project of mine aimed at both bringing attention to, and raising additional funds for combatting, human trafficking and child sexual exploitation.
