Movers and Shakers: Who’s Who in the San Diego Visual Arts World celebrates influential people and the artists who have created this collection of their portraits. Unyielding enthusiasm, imagination, dedication and an intense love of art, drives the individuals who shape the art community in San Diego County. Artists, art collectors, students, teachers and the community at large all benefit from the extraordinary efforts of those who help put the San Diego cultural scene on the map.
My contribution to the exhibition is a two-part thumbprint portrait of Angela Carone, the Arts & Culture Producer at KPBS. The color print is comprised of movie poster images from a selection of Angela’s favorite films, and the black-and-white print is comprised of a selection of her favorite song lyrics, poems, book passages, quotes, etc.
